OZ Optics launches multi-channel benchtop polarisation dependent loss emulator

OZ Optics has introduced a multi-channel benchtop polarisation dependent loss emulator.

The device allows the emulation of a known polarisation dependent loss (PDL) level for quantifying and studying polarisation impairments and effects in a fibre-optic network.

The device features high linear dynamic range, flat wavelength response over C&L bands, low insertion loss and low residual polarisation mode dispersion. The system is configurable with one to 16 independent channels. The unit can be controlled manually via a colour LCD touch screen, or under computer control via the USB interface.
