With bandwidth booming in residential, business and mobile networks, efficient optical transport has never been more important. The edge of the optical transport network needs to manage a diverse range of traffic types, service requirements and network architectures to ensure flexibility, scalability and overall network economics.

In this webinar we’ll dive into the migration to intelligent coherent pluggables in metro networks and the positive impact these have on network transformation including:

  • Pushing data centre transport closer to the edge with high-speed coherent optics in single fibre domains
  • Bringing new high-capacity services into passive optical network (PON) access networks
  • Taking 4 x 100G breakout from within the data centre to wide area dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) networks
  • Scaling middle-mile broadband backhaul to meet capacity demands without breaking the bank

Who should attend this webinar?

This webinar is ideal viewing for professionals and companies involved in networking, telecommunications, and data centre operations. Telecommunications companies, internet service providers (ISPs), and mobile network operators that face the challenge of scaling their networks to handle diverse traffic types and increasing capacity demands will find this webinar to be useful viewing.

For data centres and cloud providers, the focus on high-speed coherent optics and their role in moving data transport closer to the edge is critical for staying competitive in today's market. Optical network equipment vendors and infrastructure providers will also benefit, especially those looking to integrate the latest in intelligent coherent pluggable technology.
