Bristol Instruments now offers software that converts its 438 Series multi-wavelength meter into a high-resolution optical spectrum analyzer.
The 438 Series Multi-Wavelength Meter simultaneously measures the wavelength, power, and OSNR of as many as 1000 discrete optical signals.
With features such as high accuracy, measurement rate up to 10 Hz, and a broad operational range of 1000 to 1680 nm, the model 438 provides the most precise, efficient, and versatile WDM wavelength testing available.
For a more detailed analysis, the NuView software generates and displays an optical spectrum with a resolution better than 10 GHz (0.08 nm at 1550 nm). This provides the ability to determine transceiver side-mode suppression ratio and to discriminate between closely spaced WDM channels.
