Three Swedish towns coordinate fibre network build with Digpro

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN – Digpro, the major innovator in the field of Geographic IT and Network Lifecycle Management, has been selected to provide the three Swedish neighbouring municipalities Dorotea, Åsele and Vilhelmina with the geographic information system dpCom for their fiber networks. With one system installed the three neighbouring municipalities can interact and learn from each other.

The three neighbouring municipalities Dorotea, Åsele and Vilhelmina in Sweden have chosen to jointly install a geographic information system that allows them to get an increased overview and better documentation of their fiber networks. They found the solution in dpCom from Digpro. Through a joint system they are able to learn from each other's knowledge and experience through cooperation.

Digpro's dpCom is a geographic information system that puts the network on the map. Modern and comprehensive GIS functionality is combined with an entirely web-based asset registry that includes advanced geographic maps, schematic diagrams, topologies and asset data. dpCom looks after all the constituents of the network. The system has an efficient toolbox, ranging from cables, pipes and nodes to bird watching down to detailed fiber information and logical connections.

"It is very pleasing for us to be chosen by Vilhelmina, Åsele and Dorotea municipality. We believe in our platform as an appropriate tool for multiple network owners to coexist. The utility of seeing and managing all network lifecycles creates a great value that is difficult to put a price tag on”, said Joel Pirard, Marketing Manager at Digpro.
