Blown fibre, cabling and ducted solutions provider, Emtelle is to acquire fibre optic cable connector specialist, Ridgemount Technologies.
This acquisition is designed to combine Emtelle's and Ridgemount's expertise as a platform to deliver the next generation of connectivity solutions to meet demand for reliable, high-performance telecommunications infrastructure. Investment would be prioritised in automation and capacity expansion in order to enhance manufacturing efficiencies and product offerings.
Accelerating research and development in FTTx deployment
The acquisition will see Ridgemount continue to lead in the development of fibre optic connectors, such as its Fbeam and Venturi. Integration of Emtelle’s FibreFast bundle and associated products with Ridgemount’s expertise aims to provide a comprehensive suite of solutions for customers. With this acquisition, Emtelle also aims to set the stage to introduce the next generation of connectivity solutions, while also accelerating research and development in the field of FTTx deployment and the defence industry.
Expansion into the defence sector
