Omnitron Systems has introduced its next generation of OmniConverter 10GbE switch products with power over Ethernet (PoE) up to 100W.
The new compact 10G six and 10-port switches feature managed and unmanaged models with two small form pluggable 10G fibre-optic uplink ports and four or eight 10/100/1G copper Ethernet access ports with no PoE or with the IEEE 802.3af/at/bt standard based 30, 60 or 100Watts PoE per port.
Intended to be used in critical infrastructure applications powering wifi access points, small cells, IP surveillance cameras and a variety of enterprise and industrial equipment, the 10GPoE products support self-healing and protection features such as link aggregation, rapid spanning tree protocol and industrial media redundancy protocol.
The new models can be managed via any standard web browser, Omnitron’s simple network management protocol (SNMP) NetOutlook management software or any SNMP interface. The device management facilitates monitoring and scheduling features, as well as powered device heart-beat monitoring and automatic PD restart as required. Event notification is done via SNMP traps and email messages.
The switches are available in managed models (10G/M, 10GPoE+/M and 10GPoEBT/M) or unmanaged models (10G/Sx, 10GPoE+/Sx and 10GPoEBT/Sx). The OmniConverter models can be shelf, wall and DIN rail mounted. These Models are available at commercial (0 to 50°C), wide (-40 to 60°C) and extended (-40 to 75°C) operating temperatures.
