WARSAW PL - HAWE Telekom has entered into a co-operation agreement with Akamai Technologies, a global leader in the field of content delivery network and internet traffic services. The American company will connect its servers to the optical fibre network of HAWE so that customers of the Polish company will be able to use the Internet resources more effectively and quickly.
Akamai Technologies is one of the largest companies in the world operating in the field of data storage and speeding the work on the Internet up. It manages up to 30% of all network traffic. The company has 230,000 servers in over 130 countries around the world.Akamai customers include over one third of companies from the Global 500 list, such as Yahoo, Airbus, Audi, and Microsoft.
‘Akamai servers allow to access the content on different devices without losing any speed or quality, and they identify, absorb and block malware. Our infrastructure optimises the use of on-line resources, dynamically redirecting traffic from the most-loaded servers to others, significantly accelerating the speed and increasing the quality of access to the Internet content. I am convinced that our solutions will definitely increase the effectiveness of the HAWE Telekom optical fibre network,’ comments Domenico Janelli, EMEA network development strategy director from Akamai Technologies.
