HAWICK, SCOTLAND – Emtelle has created a dedicated solutions team in response to rising global demand for customer-based solutions and increased product commoditisation.
Focusing on developing new products and solutions that can be brought to market, the new team will grow Emtelle’s portfolio, building on the benefits the company’s products already bring to operators, including reduced total cost of network deployments through easier installation methods and a reduced need for equipment and specialist skills.
The solutions department will draw on more than 25 years of customer and product knowledge and experience to create solution concepts and then progress them through design, manufacturing, testing, then ultimately to market. Custom-made solutions for individual operators will also continue to be developed and a renewed focus will be placed on product testing to show the high performance Emtelle products can achieve.
‘As a blown fibre and ducted networks technology leader with a proven portfolio, creating a dedicated solutions team is the next logical step for Emtelle,’ said Colin Kirkpatrick, Solutions Director at Emtelle. ‘The development will build on our existing offering and allow us to partner with operators to create tailor-made solutions for their specific needs – something which is becoming increasingly important as new network challenges emerge. The team will also ensure that operators have the easiest and most cost-effective path to new fibre installations as demand for new technologies like 5G and the Internet of Things places more and more pressure on their existing infrastructures.’
As part of an accelerated drive to push the boundaries of fibre optics installations in 2019, ahead of emerging technologies, Emtelle will expand its portfolio, revealing new solutions capable of opening up accessibility for new deployments and strengthening capabilities to enable future-proof deployments.
‘Colin is a respected industry leader in the development of passive network infrastructure solutions and his twenty-five years’ expertise has paved the way for his appointment to solutions director at Emtelle, said Tony Rodgers, CEO at Emtelle. ‘Colin’s appointment will further our commitment to developing and offering new market leading solutions, combining the highest value with the lowest total cost of ownership.’
