VPIphotonics and PhoeniX enable rapid circuit design for TriPleX technology

VPIphotonics and PhoeniX Software, in cooperation with LioniX International, have teamed up to develop a photonics process design kit (PDK) that supports circuit simulation and layout design of application-specific photonic integrated circuits (ASPICs) to be processed on LioniX International’s TriPleX technology platform.

Containing more than 3,600 entries and more than 2000 abbreviations, the FOC glossary includes military specifications for connectors in addition to general terms and definitions. Ciena offers commercial version of ON.Lab ONOS open source software

The release of Blue Planet ONOS will make it easier for operators wanting to work with ONOS. From Ciena’s perspective, it also extends the capabilities of the Blue Planet network orchestration software into the data centre domain.

Calix unveils AXOS for access network virtualisation

Broadband equipment vendor Calix has unveiled AXOS, or Access eXtensible Operating System, a Linux-based network operating system and software platform designed to bring software defined networking (SDN) to the access network.
